This, that and a playlist

Well hello there...long time, I know. I continue to struggle with what, exactly, I want to be posting here in this space and that leads to me posting nothing. Not the ideal scenario, no, but it is how it's working out lately and I know that will shift so I'm embracing it rather than pummeling you all with words that don't mean much of anything.

I did stumble upon a bit of artwork and a few tunes I wanted to share so here ya go:

Yago Hortal via The Daylight
I'm completely entranced by Yago Hortal's work...makes me want to pick up a paintbrush thick with bright colored paint and see what happens...more than likely not this, but man, it would be fun to try. I came across Laura Burkhart's blog The Daylight a few weeks and it's been a constant source of bohemian love inspiration ever since.

And here's a little playlist that echoes musically what these paintings evoke visually, a colorful fluidity made all the more interesting by natural waves and splatterings inherent in the brushstrokes themselves...

1. Dakini, Prem Joshua
2. 1234, Feist
3. Son of Shiva (Omstrumental), MC Yogi
4. Paradise, Coldplay
5. Om Namah Shiva, from Asana
6. Called Out In The Dark, Snow Patrol
7. Lebanese Blond, Thievery Corporation
8. Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, Fabian Asultany
9. Porcelain, Moby
10. Fade Into You, Mazzy Star
11. One, U2
12. Somptin Hapnin, from Tandava
13. Shanti (Peace Out) (Omstrumental), MC Yogi

...you know, kinda like life itself.

Peace out!
